I’m glad you’re here!

Throughout my career, I’ve had the privilege of working with autistic* and other neurodivergent individuals of all ages. This has given me a deep understanding of the intersection between neurodivergence and mental health needs. My practice now focuses not only on supporting neurodivergent individuals but also on helping the people who care for them—parents, family members, caregivers, and other support persons—navigate the unique challenges they face.

I offer therapy that focuses on improving understanding, addressing support needs, enhancing emotional well-being, and ultimately improving the quality of life for both individuals and their support systems.

In addition, as a two-time cancer survivor, I bring both clinical expertise and personal experience to my practice. I understand firsthand the challenges of navigating chronic illness, as well as the emotional complexities of grief, loss, and uncertainty that often accompany such journeys. This unique perspective informs my compassionate, empathic approach to supporting clients through similar experiences.

*I use identity-first rather than person-first language when referring to autism, as it is the expressed preference of the autism community.

About my Practice

Therapy for Caregivers and Loved Ones

The work I do is rooted in empathy and practical support. I offer individual therapy for:

  • Caregivers experiencing burnout and emotional fatigue.

  • Parents navigating the challenges of raising neurodivergent children and seeking strategies to better connect with and support their child.

  • Partners working to understand the needs and emotional experiences of someone whose mind works differently.

  • Support persons facing high levels of stress, anxiety, and uncertainty in their caregiving roles.

In our work together, my goal is to provide a safe space for you to process your feelings, gain insight, and develop strategies that foster healing and sustainable support.

Specialized Expertise in EMDR & Neurodivergence

In addition to my work with caregivers, I have specialized training in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) therapy. This training has proven especially valuable in supporting individuals with autism and other neurodivergent conditions who have experienced trauma or are living with PTSD.

Over the years, I’ve conducted research and developed expertise in treating PTSD in neurodivergent individuals with a wide range of support needs, always striving to create trauma-informed, accessible care.

Consultation & Training for Clinicians and Support Professionals

I also provide training and consultation to other clinicians, helping them expand their knowledge and increase access to effective, trauma-informed care for neurodivergent populations. By sharing my experience, I hope to improve support for individuals across the spectrum and ensure that clinicians are equipped to meet the unique needs of their neurodivergent clients.

I have done trainings and case consultation for ABA clinics, professional organizations, and school districts.

Clinical Supervision for LPC Associates

I am licensed as an LPC Supervisor in the state of Texas and offer individual and group supervision (when available). I see supervision as a mentor relationship in which I first and foremost help associates provide effective and ethical therapy, but beyond that, I help my associates navigate and create their desired professional future.

If you are an LPC associate with interest working with neurodivergent populations, book a free consultation with me to see if I might be a good fit!
